Coffin Nails is a branding and packaging project for a line of pretzels that I imagined. I repurposed the bold, propagandist conventions of cigarette packaging and the harsh, angular look of punk and metal design for a line of spicy gourmet pretzels aimed at fans of heavy music. This involved hand-drawing wordmarks, logomarks, and illustrations, determining a color palate, and laying out my package designs on dielines, following federal requirements for food packaging. After these were printed, I cut and assembled the packages, taking them into the shoot studio for product shots.
